Webinar Recording: Beginner's Guide to Vacuum Control

This educational ISA webinar was presented by Greg McMillan in conjunction with the ISA Mentor Program. Greg is an industry consultant, author of numerous process control books, 2010 ISA Life Achievement Award recipient and retired Senior Fellow from Solutia Inc. (now Eastman Chemical).

Understanding the fundamental principles and the limitations of process equipment and instrumentation is seen to be essential to developing the proper control system for separation of multiple batch components by vacuum stripping. Danaca Jordan, ISA Mentor Program protégée, presents the results of alternate strategies along with their limitations. A proposed solution is given at the end.

Danaca Jordan, CAP, is a Digital Manufacturing Center of Excellence engineer at Eastman Chemical Company.
