ISA Toronto Goes Mobile with New App!

This post is authored by Ryan Kershaw – ISA Toronto President

Want to stay in the know on all things ISA Toronto?  Now there’s an app for that.

With more people than ever using a smartphone as their calendar, contact list, day planner, encyclopedia, calculator, and even (believe it or not) their phone, ISA Toronto is pleased to announce the release of their mobile application.  This app is currently available as a native app on iTunes, Google Play, and the Windows Phone Marketplace.

The ISA Toronto mobile app is an easy way to keep on top of section news and events through the integrated events calendar and Twitter feed.  Society news is also there thanks to the ISA Interchange news feed which highlights stories from around the world.

The mobile app will also let us send meeting and event notifications directly to our member’s phones through push notifications.  This, along with all of the other features incorporated in the app will help us to keep our members up to date on what is happening around the section.  The app is free of charge and available now.

About the author:  Ryan Kershaw is currently serving as president of the ISA Toronto Section, and has been involved in the process instrumentation and automation field for over a decade.

About ISA Toronto:  ISA Toronto was formed in 1948, and has been in continuous operation ever since.  ISA Toronto offers monthly members meetings along with special events and training sessions.
